The Entrap-A-Nator III
The Entrap-A-Nator III, is designed to provide high quality, realistic training to firefighters that could be used to save their life or the lives of their fellow firefighters.

Fire Training Associates is dedicated to offering quality fire training with the convenience of you choosing the training site. As firefighters ourselves, we know how tight budgets and staffing can be. Our solution; have a way to bring expert quality training to your doorstep. When the training comes to you it eliminates or reduces the need for overtime. It also reduces the need for taking crews out of service or sending crews and equipment out of the city.

Our overall goal is to provide hands-on / competency-based training that can be used in real life situations. No matter how big or small your department is, May-Day and Rapid Intervention training is always going to be essential to firefighter life safety. The training we provide will help firefighters make quick decisions and give them the ability to recognize common hazards that they could face while operating on the fire ground. As firefighters, we know how firefighters think and act. As instructors we have seen the mistakes and weaknesses that not only rookie firefighters make but the mistakes of veteran firefighters.

With the use of the Entrap-A-Nator III, a realistic real-time simulator, we can help firefighters understand the function that their protective clothing, SCBA (Mask Confidence) and most important of all, their training, play in their success and safety. During their time in the simulator the firefighters will be faced with a series of situations that will challenge them to decide when to call a Mayday or try self rescue. During the classroom portion of their training, students will be taught how to rapidly assess their situation and how to take appropriate action.  This is the same class that is offered at F.D.I.C. and Firehouse Expo.

Following the training, Fire Training Associates will give a post-incident analysis. This is not to assess blame, but to give good and wholesome ideas on lessons learned throughout the training process.  This analysis is critical to identify recognition prime decision making skills; while simulating real life situations encountered in the fire service that have contributed to the death and injury of our fellow firefighters.
